Donate Your Used/Old Cell Phone

Did you know? Cell phones contain harmful materials like lead and cadmium that are released as phones break down in landfills. These materials can cause cancer, reproductive disorders and developmental disorders even when released in small quantities.

You can help. Your old cell phone is worth up to $30, depending on the make and model. Don't let that money go to waste. The proceeds from your old phone can help provide seniors in our community with activities, health promotions and life-long learning.

Phones go to a good cause. Collected phones are either recycled for their precious metals according to EPA standards or are refurbished for use in developing countries with less advanced cellular technology than the U.S.

Drop off your used/old cell phone to help support the ongoing programs of Lifelong.

New Bicycle Rack

Lifelong is excited to announce that we a new bicycle rack in our front parking lot. Thanks to a generous grant of $250 from the Social Service League of Ithaca, we were able to purchase the rack as a permanent place for visitors to safely park their bicycles. Dolina Millar is the first person to use the rack! We want to encourage people to walk, ride their bikes, or carpool to Lifelong as much as possible. Walking and riding your bike is good for the earth. When you walk rather than drive, you are doing your part to decrease our dependence foreign oils and doing your part to promote cleaner air.
