New Strength Training Class Starts May 1st!

Debbie Bosanko has been teaching exercise classes at Lifelong for well over ten years, beginning in the old Senior Center on S. Geneva Street. Debbie also worked with Marilyn Kinner to help coordinate the start of the Senior Circuit in 1998 Lifelong’s successful course offerings based on the life-long learning concept. Debbie is currently teaching strength training classes--with an edition of a new class just this month! Her new class at St. Catherine’s Church, Seniors Are Strong is slightly more vigorous than the current strength training class offered at Lifelong. Hand weights and body resistance will be the main form of exercise, which is similar to the class offered at Lifelong. The primary difference is there will be 10-15 minutes of mat work toward the end of each class which will include a series of modified push-ups, crunches, lying down, and side leg lifts. Mats and weights will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have them. Debbie’s classes are offered:

Mondays 12:30 - 1:30 PM & Thursdays 11:30 - 12:30 PM (Lifelong, 119 West Court St.)

Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:15 - 10:15 AM (St. Catherine of Siena, 302 St. Catherine Circle)
