A study to improve clothing fit for women aged 56-65

Are you a woman aged 56-65? Would you like to participate in a body scan project?
We are looking for women, aged 56-65, to study body configuration and clothing fit for older women.

What is a 3-D Body Scanner?
A 3-D body scanner is a curtained booth equipped with cameras and light sources. It quickly collects highly accurate measurements without personal contact. This technology has been used to design helmets for pilots, Brooks Brother’s tailored suits and George Clooney’s costume in the movie Batman.

Where is it?
The scanner is in the Department of Fiber Science and Apparel Design at Cornell University in Martha Van Rensselaer Hall.

How long does it take to scan?
The scanning process takes only 12 seconds.
The total expected time of participation in this study is about 30 minutes for the first part of the study and 45 minutes for some participants who we will invite for a second part of the study.

Is there any compensation?
You will receive a $10 gift card to either Gimme! coffee or Collegetown bagels AND a movie file of your 3D body scan image.

Is there any risk?
There are no risks to your participating in this study other than those encountered in day-to-day life.

What about transportation and parking?
We can arrange transportation for you or send you a parking permit.

Are you interested?
