CCE sponsoring an Investment Fraud Protection Presentation

Monday, April 14, 2008
Investment fraud is a large problem in upstate New York according to the Cornell Law School Securities Law Clinic Director, William Jacobson. Investment scams have targeted senior citizens, retirees, people taking early retirement packages, and many others. Additionally, many people are sold investment products that are not suitable for them.

On Monday, April 14 at 3 PM, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County will host a presentation on investment fraud presented by the Cornell Law School Securities Law Clinic students. The presentation will alert attendees to the warning signs of investment fraud, what investors should watch out for, and what to do if a problem occurs.

For more information about the Cornell Law School Securities Law Clinic visit their web site at http://securities.lawschool.cornell.edu

The April 14 presentation is free and open to the public. Please call Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County, 615 Willow Avenue, Ithaca, NY, at 272-2292 to register today.
