Lifelong will be hosting the second open forum regarding the possibility of an expansion of the Lifelong facility. This expansion would make additional programming space for Lifelong as well as house the County Office for the Aging. That date is Thursday, August 7^th, it will begin at 9:A.M. Thursday, August 7 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Lifelong, Amanda Lewis, a nationally certified acupuncturist, will be presenting the 3,000 year-old practice of traditional Chinese Medicine. She will explain the medical theory, basic methods of diagnosis, and treatments that are used.

Community Opportunities

Thursday Walk Group (every Thursday throughout the summer) from 10:AM-12:PM with Stacy Henderson. Stacy Henderson is a nutrition educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension. People in the group will walk from 10 AM to 12 PM, taking a break for lunch, and to talk about nutrition. This is a free group. Transportation is available.

For well over a century, the State Fair has showcased and celebrated New York’s vast agricultural economy, technological innovations, rich history and culture.

This spirit shows through with a truly remarkable array of exhibits on display, the entertainment and activities available, as well as the pride and energy that have made the New York State Fair our single largest statewide attraction year after year. Simply put, the Fair promises to be an enjoyable and engaging experience for all.

Everyone 60 and over is admitted free to the fair on Senior Day. The cost of the trip is $20 to cover transportation ($25 for non-members). We have chartered Swarthout Coaches which will depart from Ithaca at 9AM and arrived back in Ithaca approximately 8:15PM. Lunch is on your own.
