Planning Elder-Friendly Environments

As part of the LEAP program (Living Environments Aging Partnership), Professor Lorraine Maxwell invites community members to join Cornell students as they explore issues related to facility design for older adults. Participants don't have to be at all sessions, but we are happy to have them come and contribute to the class. The exact location is room 153 in Martha Van Rensselaer Hall.

Professor Paul Eshelman invites you to serve as consultants as Cornell students design furniture for inter-generational activities. Explore questions such as “Can better furniture be designed for interaction between toddlers and older adults?”

Meeting place: at Cornell, 909 Mitchel St. The building is called the High Voltage Lab. The building is a large 6-story metal box located on the south side of the street 3 blocks east of Bell Sherman School. You can pull in and park directly across from the main entrance to the building. Parking is free.
